Four-legged drones can push snipers on the battlefield. Yesterday, October 13, Ghost Robotics and SWORD Defense Systems presented a joint development - a sniper fire system for the Vision-60 robot at the US Army Association (AUSA 2021) exhibition.
The development was called the "Unmanned Special Purpose Rifle" (Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle, SPUR) and is made in the form of a removable module that is attached to the back of the Vision-60 robo-backpack.

The SPUR installation is a computerized system that combines a thermal imaging sight and a high-precision rifle. The latter can have a 6.5 Creedmoor caliber or 7.62 × 51, providing a targeted firing range at a distance of up to 1200 m.

At AUSA 2021, Ghost Robotics also showed its Vision-60 quadrupedal robot with an Indago quadcopter installation from Lockheed Martin. This reconnaissance drone should significantly simplify the work of scouts, as well as improve situational awareness for soldiers.
