A joint Russian-Chinese naval exercise "Maritime Interaction-2021" is being held in the Sea of Japan from October 14 to 17.
This is stated by the information support department of the VVO press service for the Pacific Fleet (TOF).
"The Russian Navy is represented by warships and support vessels of the Pacific Fleet: the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleev, the corvettes of the project 20380 Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov and Loud, two base minesweepers, the submarine of the project 877 Ust-Bolsheretsk, as well as a missile boat and a rescue tug," the message says.
From the Naval Forces of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA), destroyers "Kun Ming" and "Nan Chang", corvettes "Bin Zhou" and "Liu Zhou", a diesel submarine, an integrated supply ship and a rescue vessel are involved.
In addition to the ship component, 12 aircraft and helicopters of the Pacific Fleet and the PLA Navy were involved in the Russian-Chinese exercise.
In the course of practical actions, the crews of the ships of the two countries will work out joint tactical maneuvering, mine protection of detachments, conduct artillery firing at sea targets, search and block a submarine of a conditional enemy in the designated area.
