The ballistics input system, taking into account the distance or angle of the target location, allows the fighter to quickly and accurately change the firing settings, said Alexander Novikov, General Director of KMZ
MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. The newest 3-12x50 sight for installation on large-caliber machine guns was developed in Russia at the Krasnogorsk Plant named after S. A. Zverev (KMZ, part of the sHvabe holding of Rostec State Corporation). This was told to TASS by the General director of KMZ Alexander Novikov.
"The sight with the possibility of changing the multiplicity up to 12x has all the parameters for fast and accurate, almost sniper fire from a large-caliber machine gun "Cord", - he said.
According to Novikov, the ballistics input system, taking into account the distance or angle of the target location, allows the fighter to quickly and accurately change the firing settings. "If a fighter is given a target designation for a distance, for example, 1,200 m, he sets a limit of 1,200 m and receives an instantaneous movement of the sighting mark for the specified distance," he explained.
As reported by TASS at KMZ, the new Zenit brand optical sights, equipped with a Picatinny rail mounting bracket, withstand the recoil of the largest common calibers, including .338 and .50BMG (about 12.7 mm).
Krasnogorsk Plant plans to show all the latest sights at the International Exhibition of Weapons and Hunting Goods OREEXPO 2021, which will be held from October 14 to 17 in Moscow.
