Six years ago, it became known about the design by Serbian designers of the M-20UP1 tank, nicknamed "Armata" "in Serbian" for its characteristic appearance.

Indeed, judging by the images that appeared on the Web, the armored vehicle looked very similar to the Russian T-14. In the front part she had to have a protected capsule for the crew. In an uninhabited tower, it was supposed to install a 125-mm cannon, similar to the one used on the T-72. Also, a 30 mm automatic cannon and a 12.7 mm machine gun were used as additional weapons.
The engine power is 1200 hp. The transmission is electric. Combat weight - 45 tons. Unfortunately, the project could not be brought to a real car. The point is large financial costs, which are hardly within the power of the current budget of this country.
The situation is much better with the creation of wheeled military equipment in Serbia. The successes achieved can be judged by the exhibits of the Partner - 2021 exhibition taking place in Belgrade. For example, the Lasansky wheeled armored personnel carrier is presented here for the first time.

Judging by the explanatory materials, in the maximum configuration it will weigh up to 36 tons. He has a powerful 700-horsepower diesel. The exhibition demonstrates a variant with a 57-mm Russian uninhabited module.
At the same time, it is known that Serbia is creating its own combat module with a 100-mm gun. If it is installed on a new armored personnel carrier, you will get a real wheeled tank, which will be useful not only for your own army, but will also have a certain export success.
