The exercises will last until October 16
MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Joint Russian-Serbian crews of Mi-35 combat helicopters performed their first flights at the Lajevci airfield (Serbia) during the BARS-2021 tactical flight exercises, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters.
"The pilots of the army aviation have worked out flight tasks at set intervals and distances, figures of simple and complex aerobatics in a given zone, as well as combat cover for units involved in the evacuation of conditionally in distress," the ministry said. "Each of the Mi-35 helicopter crews participating in the BARS-2021 exercise completed a set of flight tasks on the first flight day."
According to the head of the exercises from the Russian side, Colonel Konstantin Surikov, who are quoted in the message, from tomorrow the joint crews will start drawing tactical episodes.
The BARS-2021 tactical flight exercises will last until October 16. They involve joint crews of the Russian Federation and Serbia on MiG-29 aircraft and Mi-8 and Mi-35 helicopters.
