Kazakhstan has completed a full test cycle of the Turkish ARMA 8×8 armored personnel carrier. The OTOKAR company indicates that they were successful. Whether purchases will follow this is still unknown.
The video shows a full test cycle, including cross-country driving, overcoming obstacles and testing amphibious capabilities. It also shows firing and extreme tests (for example, driving on four wheels).
ARMA 8×8 armored personnel carrier tests in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan has been planning to purchase new armored vehicles for many years, but it has not yet reached major contracts. If earlier the key contender was the BTR "Barys" (the licensed version of Mbombe 8×8 from the South African company Paramount Group), now the Turkish manufacturer will compete for a potential contract.
OTOKAR company declares that it has developed a special NEFER combat module, created under the requirements of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan. It can be equipped with various weapons, including the Soviet 30-mm 2A42 cannon.
