TSAMTO, October 11. The Russian-made Pantsir-S missile defense system, which is in service with the Syrian air defense forces, destroyed eight Israeli missiles.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was announced by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.
"On the eighth of October at 21:33, six F-16 tactical fighters of the Israeli Air Force crossed the state border of the SAR in the area of Al-Tanf struck with 12 guided missiles at the T-4 airfield (TIFOR) in the province of Homs. <...> Eight missiles were destroyed," the rear admiral said.
He noted that as a result of the Israeli strike, six Syrian servicemen were injured, the property of the Syrian Armed Forces was slightly damaged, RIA Novosti reports.
The air Force of the Jewish State regularly strikes the T-4 airfield under the pretext that objects belonging to pro-Iranian forces are located there.
