On October 1, the US Department of Defense announced the signing by the US Navy Shipbuilding and Armament Command with United States Marine, Inc (USMI) of a contract with an indefinite delivery period for an indefinite number of ID/IQ products (indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity).
The agreement, worth $54.384 million, provides for the supply of up to 35 high-speed 11-meter rigid-hulled inflatable boats for Special Operations Forces, as well as trailers, accessories, spare parts and technical assistance.
The boats are intended for delivery to the US Coast Guard (23%) and foreign states in accordance with the contracts signed by the Agency for Security Cooperation of the US Department of Defense under the programs for strengthening the capacity of partner countries (Building Partner Capacity, BPC) and "Foreign Military Sales".
As planned, the volume, cost of deliveries and the place of work will be determined within the framework of individual orders. It is expected that the work will be carried out at the enterprises in Gulfport (pcs.Mississippi, 80%) and Corinth (pcs.Mississippi, 20%) with an estimated completion date of September 2026.
The length of the boat is 11 m, width - 3.2 m, maximum draft - 0.9 m, displacement - 18 thousand pounds, maximum speed - 40 knots, capacity - up to 13 people. The boat is equipped with two Caterpillar 3126 diesel engines and KaMeWa/Rolls Royce water jet engines.
