The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, MIPT, the V. P. Ivannikov Institute of System Programming, Innopolis University, ITMO, and HSE have won a competition to select research centers that will receive grant support under the federal Artificial Intelligence project, the government announced on Monday.
On behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister, an Expert Council was formed by the Analytical Center under the Government of Russia, which reviewed the applications received for the competition . A total of 36 organizations took part in the selection, of which nine were shortlisted. The Working Group identified the best six projects of the Centers out of nine.
The most popular areas of artificial intelligence development for which applications have been received are intersectoral AI and AI technologies for various sectors of the economy, AI for optimizing management decisions, AI for medicine, AI for industry.
