Moscow. October 6. INTERFAX - Terrorist organizations around the world are trying to get information about the production of chemical and nuclear weapons, the Russian Security Council reported.
"The terrorists' aspirations to gain access to information about the manufacture of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons are being recorded, as well as their increased attention to the possibility of using pathogenic biological agents and toxic chemicals," Yuri Kokov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
According to him, the terrorists are purposefully recruiting industry specialists, including teachers and students of chemical and biological educational institutions.
Kokov also said that terrorists continue to use drones for their attacks.
"Since 2019, the number of terrorist attacks with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles has been growing. Such attacks are being carried out, including the Russian base of Khmeimim in Syria and the positions of the Syrian Arab Army," he said.
According to him, terrorists are trying to use the coronavirus for their actions.
