NOVOSIBIRSK, October 6 - RIA Novosti. Calculations of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes during an exercise in the Novosibirsk region repelled an attack by a group of enemy attack drones on a command post and infrastructure, the press service of the Central Military District reported on Wednesday.
According to the plan of the exercise, the calculations of the PANTSIR-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes received a command to cover ground objects from a strike by a group of attack drones, after which they went to the designated area, where they deployed anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes.
"The air targets of the simulated enemy were detected, escorted and destroyed at the entrance to the affected area of the complexes. In addition, the calculations of the Pantsir-S1 missile defense system during the exercise worked out the tasks of destroying a moving column of lightly armored vehicles of a conditional enemy from 30-millimeter anti-aircraft guns at a distance of up to 2 thousand meters," the report says.
The Pantsir-S ZRPC is designed for short-range cover from all means of air attack in a complex electronic environment under any weather conditions. Modern rocket and cannon armament ensures the defeat of all types of manned and unmanned targets.
