Russian radar stations (radars) over the past week have identified 58 aircraft near the borders of the country, follows from the data of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, published on Friday, October 1, on the website of the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda".
"48 reconnaissance aircraft and 10 reconnaissance UAVs of foreign states conducted aerial reconnaissance along the borders of the Russian Federation and were accompanied by Russian radars," the agency reports.
It is noted that there was no violation of the state border of Russia.
At the same time, the armed forces of the Russian Federation four times lifted into the air fighters from the air defense (air defense) forces on duty to escort foreign reconnaissance aircraft.
On September 28, a Russian Su-27 fighter escorted an American RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea. After the American aircraft turned around, the Su-27 returned to its home airfield. The Russian border has not been violated.
Earlier, on September 26, three Su-35S fighters escorted a strategic bomber B-52N of the US Air Force, which was approaching the borders of the Russian Federation in the Pacific Ocean.
