The reasons for this decision are not reported
TOKYO, October 1. /TASS/. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) postponed the launch of the Epsilon-5 launch vehicle with nine satellites, including the Vietnamese NanoDragon spacecraft, scheduled for Friday. This is stated in the JAXA message.
All preparations for the launch were completed, but at the very last moment before the launch, the operator announced its suspension. The reasons for this decision are not reported at the moment. Weather conditions in the area of the Uchinoura cosmodrome in Kagoshima Prefecture are normal.
NanoDragon, which weighs 3.8 kg, was developed, assembled and tested by specialists of the National Space Center (NCC) at the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology. It must receive and transmit signals from an automatic identification system to track the movement of ships and monitor activities at sea.
In addition to it, Epsilon-5 was supposed to put eight more Japanese small satellites into orbit, including those developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
