MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation intends to start purchasing the latest BOA pistols in combined-arms and special configuration in 2022. This was announced by the Commander-in-chief of the Ground Forces, Army General Oleg Salyukov, in an interview with the newspaper kRasnaya Zvezda.
"From next year, the purchase of pistol complexes "BOA" in "combined arms" and "special" configuration is planned (there is a low-noise shooting device, target designators, a flashlight). The pistol complex "BOA" has improved ergonomic characteristics, increased accuracy and accuracy of shooting, high barrel life," Salyukov informed.
Kalashnikov AK-12 assault rifles are also supplied to formations and military units, Salyukov added. "Equipping with them takes place in stages and at a fairly rhythmic pace, military personnel are actively mastering these weapons in the process of combat training," he said.
As Salyukov noted, the state tests of the newest sniper rifle of Chukavin have already been completed. "Also this year, the state tests of the 7.62 mm Chukavin sniper rifle (microwave), which we will adopt, have been completed," he added.
