Moscow. October 1. INTERFAX - Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces Oleg Salyukov announced the completion of the development of a line of artillery and mortar weapons for use in the Arctic.
"In order to increase the mobility and firing capabilities of artillery, including during operations in the Arctic region, the development of a whole line of samples of highly mobile artillery and mortar weapons on various types of chassis is being completed," Salyukov said in an interview with the newspaper of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation kRasnaya Zvezda.
He said that among them were a 152-mm self-propelled artillery gun "Malva", a 120-mm self-propelled artillery gun "Phlox" and an 82-mm self-propelled mortar "Drok".
On August 26, the press service of Uralvagonzavod (UVZ, Rostec) informed INTERFAX about the completion of state tests of the new DROK self-propelled mortar in 2022
"DROK" is a 2C41 combat vehicle of highly mobile artillery and mortar armament on an automobile chassis.
