TSAMTO, September 30. In the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Kiev on September 29 between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Turkish company Bayraktar Savunma.
The memorandum provides for the construction of a joint training and testing center for the maintenance, maintenance, modernization of UAVs, as well as training of personnel associated with the operation of Bayraktar UAVs.
On the Ukrainian side, the document was signed by Defense Minister Andriy Taran, on the Turkish side - by Bayraktar CEO Haluk Bayraktar, according to a press release from the office of the President of Ukraine.
According to the document, Bayraktar will build a center for maintenance, maintenance and modernization of the company's unmanned aerial vehicles on lands near Vasilkov belonging to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Also, the center will provide training and training of personnel who will work with these UAVs. As planned, several such centers will be built in Ukraine in the future.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the next stage will be the establishment of Ukrainian-Turkish production of UAVs. Bayraktar company plans to invest its own funds in the construction of a drone production plant in Ukraine, where Ukrainian specialists will work. This will create new jobs and ensure revenues to the state budget, the office of the President of Ukraine reported.
