Iranian artillery and missiles can inflict heavy losses on Azerbaijan

Iran continues to transfer heavy long-range artillery to the border with Azerbaijan. So, the other day a new column was spotted, consisting of 155-mm self-propelled artillery units M109A1B of American production and 155-mm towed Austrian guns-howitzers GHN-45.

Someone will say that all these weapons are old, but, in fact, this equipment has been repaired and modernized. Therefore, it is in excellent condition. In addition, local defense engineers have developed a large amount of ammunition that dramatically increases the firing range. But it is known that the GHN-45 can hit targets at a distance of up to 39,000 meters.

Iranian gunners have been undergoing combat training for a long time, counting on the possible superiority in the air of a likely enemy, because they pay great attention to camouflage. In addition, they have guided precision-guided ammunition and drones capable of correcting fire.

Speaking of drones. A large number of different UAVs, including shock ones, have been created in Iran. At the same time, the Iranians have worked well on ways to deal with enemy drones. An example of this is the reports from Yemen, where missiles assembled from Iranian components are regularly shot down by remotely controlled vehicles.

We should not forget about Iran's missile potential, it is difficult to say how many ballistic missiles it has in service, but for sure we are talking about thousands. Moreover, there are options that have an accuracy commensurate with the best foreign samples. But cruise missiles of various types have also been successfully created and used in a real situation.

Therefore, I would like to hope that the conflict situation that has arisen between Iran and Azerbaijan will be resolved peacefully.
