Combat crews of anti-aircraft missile systems of formations and air defense units destroyed more than five dozen air targets during an exercise in the Astrakhan region.
As the press service of the Central Military District reports today, the servicemen worked out combat missile launches day and night, the accuracy of hitting targets was more than ninety percent. The destroyed targets imitated small drones, and large equipment - attack helicopters, fighters, bombers. And also - ballistic and cruise missiles.
As part of the air defense forces group, S-300V, Buk-M2, Buk-M1, Tor-M1, Osa-AKM, Strela-10, IGLA-S portable anti-aircraft guns and Tunguska complexes operated. In total - more than 700 pieces of equipment.
The exercise in the Astrakhan region involved units and subunits stationed in the Kirov, Orenburg, Samara, Penza, Chelyabinsk regions and the Altai Territory - a total of more than two thousand military personnel.
