MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. The manned spacecraft "Yu. A. Gagarin" (Soyuz MS-18) docked to the multipurpose laboratory module "Science". The broadcast is conducted on the Roscosmos website.
This is the first manned spacecraft that docked to the Nauka module, which joined the ISS on July 29. On board the ship are Russian cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Pyotr Dubrov, as well as American astronaut Mark Vande Hai. The re-docking was carried out in manual mode.
Roscosmos noted that this time the autonomous flight of the ship during the docking lasted 42 minutes.
As explained earlier in the state corporation, the operation was necessary to release the docking node of the Rassvet module, to which the Soyuz MS-19 manned spacecraft with cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko on board should dock on October 5.
The day before, cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky said that the crew members were preparing for the upcoming docking with might and main. In social networks, he also published photos in spacesuits. Novitsky, Dubrov and Vande Hai worked out the upcoming tasks, checked the condition of the equipment, gradually consulting with Russian specialists on the Ground. The training took three hours.
