SIMFEROPOL, 28 Sep - RIA Novosti. Units of amphibious troops were transferred to the Crimea from the Krasnodar Territory as part of tactical exercises, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Earlier it was reported that large-scale exercises of the airborne assault and artillery regiments of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain unit will be held at the OPUK training ground in the eastern part of Crimea from September 27 to 29. They involve about 2 thousand military personnel and more than 100 units of combat and special equipment.
"Airborne units have been transferred to the Crimea and have begun planning military operations as part of a tactical exercise," the report says.
The transfer of troops was carried out from the Krasnodar Territory.
"Upon arrival in the area of the exercise, the units of the compound worked out measures for masking and organizing combat security, after which they prepared control points for work and began planning combat operations. A complex, rapidly changing environment characteristic of modern armed conflicts was created to work out educational issues," the press service noted.
The paratroopers used the Andromeda-D automated command and control system, which allows them to cover all control links from the commander of the compound to individual units and crews. At the same time, the communications units ensured uninterrupted control of the troops in the conditions of the use of electronic warfare by a conditional enemy.
