About 1.05 trillion rubles are planned to be allocated next year for the implementation of the state program of scientific and technological development of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said at the first meeting of the Government Commission on Scientific and Technological Development, reports government.ru on Thursday.
The funds will be allocated, in particular, to increase the salaries of researchers, to support the radio-electronic industry, as well as to overhaul higher education institutions.
Recall that the government commission was created by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation. The main tasks of the commission were approved by a government decree in May 2021.
The main issue of the first meeting was the preparation of the state program of scientific and technological development of Russia. One of the main tools for managing the program should be a scientific and technological forecast, Chernyshenko believes. It is necessary to "use modern technologies, including artificial intelligence for the operational analysis of scientific frontiers and critical technologies," the Deputy Prime Minister said. The meaning of the terms "scientific frontier" and "critical technology" used by him is not explained in the message.
Chernyshenko also said that at the moment the state program includes 75 "structural elements"; 20 of them are part of national projects. It is supposed to "attract young people"to the implementation of the most large-scale and specific scientific projects.
The meeting was attended by Assistant to the President of Russia Andrey Fursenko, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, head of the FMBA Veronika Skvortsova, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev, members of the Federation Council, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, research institutes of the country, rectors of universities, regional governors and representatives of state corporations.
