Kiev. September 25. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - As part of the multinational exercise "Rapid Trident-2021", a joint landing of the amphibious assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), US military personnel and other units of the partner countries took place, the command of the Amphibious Assault Troops of the AFU reported on Facebook.
"The landing took place from the military transport aircraft of the US Armed Forces C-130 "Hercules", with the use of American T-11 landing parachute systems from a height of 400 meters," the report says.
It is noted that on the eve of the personnel, who have considerable experience in landing from Ukrainian amphibious parachute systems and various types of aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, underwent appropriate additional training under the guidance of instructors of the US Armed Forces.
The Ukrainian-American military exercises Rapid Trident-2021 started on September 20 in the Lviv region. They will last until October 1, 2021. About 6 thousand servicemen will take part in them.
The military personnel of 13 more countries are taking part in the exercises: Bulgaria, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Lithuania, Moldova, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
