Moscow. September 24. INTERFAX-Two new binoculars have been developed in the interests of the Russian Navy, the press service of the Shvabe holding (part of Rostec) reported.
"The Zagorsky Optical and Mechanical Plant (ZOMZ) of the Shvabe holding presented two new products - a large-magnification binoculars with image stabilization BSF 20x50 and a small-sized binoculars FPF 8x20 (...) Currently, the products are undergoing preliminary tests, " the press service said.
"Both optical devices are used in a wide temperature range from -50 to +70°C. Their high-strength and sealed magnesium alloy housing is filled with dry nitrogen. Both devices are made in accordance with the state standard of resistance to external factors that are imposed on the equipment of marine equipment," said Konstantin Pertsev, acting general Director of ZOMZ, whose words were quoted in the press service.
According to Shvabe, the BSF binoculars are designed to observe remote objects and determine the distance to them by linear and angular dimensions.
