MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Roscosmos is looking for a contractor to organize experiments on the Russian segment of the ISS and determine the current and residual life of structural elements and hulls of the Russian segment of the station. This is stated in the materials posted on the public procurement website.
"Determination of the current spent and residual strength resource of the RS structural elements (Russian segment-approx. TASS) The resource and impact strength of structural materials and protective structures of the ISS PC modules in the period 2022-2023, taking into account all configurations of the ISS, force impacts and changes in the conditions of exposure to space debris and micrometeoroids during operation. Forecasting the term of exhaustion of the strength resource of the ISS PC structure, " the technical specification for the tender says.
In addition to assessing the state of the ISS, contractors will need to organize the formation and scientific and technical support for the implementation of the program of scientific and applied research and experiments on the Russian segment of the station.
The document notes that the work should be completed by December 10, 2023. The agency is ready to spend up to a billion rubles on both tasks. Applications are accepted until October 18.
