Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin via videoconference.
One of the issues discussed was the prospects for the development of the regional economy and the sphere of production.
Ilya Kurilov, General Director of the Imperial Tula Arms Plant, shared a comment on this topic: "At a meeting with the President of Russia, the Governor of the Tula Region summed up the results of large-scale work on the development of the region and outlined plans for the next five years. The projects that have already been implemented to improve people's lives, develop the economic, investment and tourism potential of the region and the main reference points reflected in the Development Program until 2026 are named. We really have something to be proud of – over the past five years, conditions have been created for further dynamic progress.
These transformations are based on an emphasis on high-tech production, the launch of new industrial facilities, and the expansion of the special economic zone.
The head of the region said, according to Tula News, that since 2016, more than 700 billion rubles have been attracted to the economy of the Tula region, more than 60 large investment projects are being implemented, which will create about 7.5 thousand new jobs. Preserving the traditions of Tula craftsmen and introducing modern production technologies, Oboronka acts as a locomotive of industrial development in this important work.
