Ekaterinburg. September 22. INTERFAX-AVN-A Russian military base in Tajikistan conducted sniper training using new rifles at a mountain training ground, the Central Military District (CVO) said on Wednesday.
Combat firing at extreme ranges was carried out from large-caliber ASVK-M "Cord-M" rifles, which recently entered service at the Russian military base in Tajikistan. The training took place against the backdrop of a difficult situation in Afghanistan, where the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) came to power.
"At the mountain range" Lyaur" (Tajikistan), the shooters carried out training and camouflage of positions, determined data for shooting with the help of reconnaissance devices and improved their skills in shooting accuracy at a range of 500 to 2 thousand meters, " the press service of the Central Military District reported.
The report of the Central Military District notes that the ASVK-M rifle is designed to defeat lightly armored vehicles, various enemy technical means and manpower.
