SIMFEROPOL, 22 Sep-RIA Novosti. Exercises to stop a terrorist attack on one of the gas production platforms in the Black Sea were held in Crimea, the press service of the Crimean border department of the FSB of the Russian Federation reports.
"The security forces practiced actions on the organization and conduct of measures aimed at suppressing a terrorist act committed on one of the platforms of the state unitary enterprise of the Republic of Crimea "Chernomorneftegaz", located in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation," the report says.
The exercises involved border guards, the forces of the regional departments of the FSB, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Rosgvardiya, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Black Sea Fleet, Chernomorneftegaz.
"As part of the training, the rescue of drowning people with the use of a parachute landing group of the Black Sea Fleet and fire extinguishing by ships of Chernomorneftegaz were worked out," the message adds.
The ministry noted that the operation to release the conditional hostages and neutralize the terrorist group was successful and received positive assessments from the leadership of the operational headquarters.
