The participants of the meeting of the Presidium of the Scientific and Technical Council of Roscosmos and the Bureau of the RAS Council for Space, held on Tuesday by video conference, supported the program of scientific research that is planned to be carried out on board the Luna-25 automatic station. This was reported to TASS in the state corporation.
"The participants of the meeting approved the proposals for the program of scientific research on board the Luna-25 spacecraft, confirming the relevance and high scientific significance of the project's tasks," Roscosmos noted.
According to the state corporation, the meeting also considered the issue of obtaining scientific data about space, the Earth and other celestial bodies for the development of fundamental science, achieving and maintaining leading positions. They also discussed the continuation of the Russian manned program, ensuring the effective and safe conduct of work and research by astronauts at orbital stations.
"The members of the council also noted the need to use the potential of the Vostochny cosmodrome and carry out work on it to create the necessary infrastructure," the state corporation added.
