The Pskov connection of the airborne troops was reinforced with another airborne assault regiment, which became the third in the division. This is reported by INTERFAX-AVN with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the military department, the regiment was restored as part of the Pskov Guards Amphibious Assault Unit from December 1, 2018, and from September 1, 2021, it was fully formed to a full staff.
The commander of the Airborne Forces, Andrey Serdyukov, arrived in the Pskov Airborne Assault Division. He will hold events dedicated to the commissioning of the fully formed 237th Guards Airborne Assault Torun Red Banner Regiment.
