Hong Kong. September 21. INTERFAX-South Korean President Moon Jae-in and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres discussed peace on the Korean peninsula and unresolved global problems during a meeting in New York, the administration of the South Korean leader reports.
Guterres noted that this year the two Koreas are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their simultaneous accession to the UN, and expressed hope that this will serve as an opportunity for both sides to improve their relations.
He promised close cooperation with the South Korean government on this issue, the administration of the President of the Republic of Korea added.
