TSAMTO, September 16. Rheinmetall demonstrated at the DSEI exhibition in London a remote-controlled machine "Mission Master XT" version of fire support (Mission Master XT - Fire Support), developed in cooperation with the MBDA group.
The DOOM is equipped with an MBDA Brimstone missile launcher. It is a high-precision long-range missile adopted by the British armed forces, which can be used in difficult weather conditions to defeat various targets, including main battle tanks. Equipped with an advanced dual-mode (radar/semi-active laser) homing head, the missile allows hitting moving and stationary targets both within the line of sight and outside the line of sight zone.
The PU installed on the Mission Master XT allows you to fire several missiles at the same time to hit several targets or one target with a guaranteed probability.
DUM "Mission Master XT", equipped with a PU, can independently perform various tactical tasks, providing an advantage to units on the battlefield. Among the possible tasks: ambushes, strikes, fire support and suppression of enemy air defense systems.
The new version of DOOM is based on the Mission Master XT platform of the Mission Master family. Mission Master XT can be used in extreme conditions, both on terrain covered with ice and snow, and in sandy, rocky and mountainous terrain. The machine is able to overcome water obstacles by swimming with a full payload.
The Caterpillar C2.2 liquid-cooled diesel engine with a capacity of 67 hp allows you to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h (up to 5 km/h on water), a power reserve of 750 km, and lithium-ion batteries provide up to 6 hours of silent operation.
Another feature of the Mission Master XT is the central tire pumping system, which allows you to adjust the tire pressure depending on the terrain. Having a high survivability, the car can continue to move even with two-centimeter holes in the tires.
Like other members of the Mission Master family, the DOOM is equipped with the PATH (Proven-Agnostic-Trusted-Highly Autonomous) autonomy package from Rheinmetall, which includes a set of advanced sensors and perception algorithms that provide advanced autonomous movement and navigation capabilities. PATH allows you to create groups of human-controlled / unmanned vehicles, and the crews of armored combat vehicles, including the Challenger MBT, the Links BBM, the Puma, etc., can manage the DOOM. The addition of these "reliable wingmen" will increase the firepower of the unit and increase the survivability of human-controlled equipment in combat.
