Specialists of the 12th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense have created fundamentally new explosive schemes for creating an external pulse effect on various structures.
The project uses the effect of the close action of the explosion, a system of soft pulse action on low-strength materials is created.
- As a result, a shock wave generator with controlled initiation according to sector and tape schemes has been developed. The trick of the sector scheme is that it is formed from a thin sheet of explosive, divided into sectors with gaps between them. With simultaneous multipoint initiation of the charge, detonation waves independent of each other are created on the surface of the structure. This means that it is possible to load the structural elements with different pressure pulses, "Alexander Cheprunov, a leading researcher at the Central Research Institute, told Krasnaya Zvezda.
Explosive generators are used in testing various civilian and military facilities. Tests for external mechanical impulse are mandatory in the development of many types of aircraft. Micro-explosions are also used to create protective coatings.
The development of the Russian military received a special prize "The best invention in the interests of the aerospace industry" at the international salon of innovative technologies "Archimedes".
