The Belarusian V2 Volat armored personnel carrier created in Minsk can become a platform for creating a variety of combat and auxiliary equipment. Including self-propelled artillery installations or fire support vehicles, or as they are also called "wheeled tanks".

At the International military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" it was reported that its total weight can reach 22,000 kg, that is, nothing prevents installing a tower with a 120-mm mortar or a 100-120-mm stabilized gun that will be able to fight armored vehicles.

It is interesting that earlier it was reported about the development of another Belarusian armored personnel carrier - MZKT-590100 "Umka"at the same Minsk plant of wheeled tractors. Work on it was carried out at the end of the first decade of the 21st century. However, according to some reports, due to the complex transmission-it had to be electric with a separate engine on each wheel - this bold project stalled.

So, among the various variants of the "Umka", there should have been a 120-mm self-propelled gun, which was intended for"fire destruction of manpower, weapons and military equipment". Interestingly, the design provided for a 7, 62-mm PKT machine gun. Perhaps the experience of this past development will be useful now. At the same time, according to military experts, it is impossible to do without foreign assistance. However, if it was possible to localize the production of a foreign engine in the Republic of Belarus, then this is also possible with regard to the turret with weapons.
