NOVO-OGAREVO, September 14. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin called for diversifying the" well-represented "defense industry in the Tula region and developing the industry as a whole in order to ensure the growth of real incomes of residents of the region.
During an online meeting with the governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin, Putin noted that the topic of increasing the average income of people in the region is one of the problem points.
"We need to think about how to create new production facilities, high-tech, well-paid, so that the real incomes of citizens in the Tula region grow," the head of state said.
He noted that the industry in the region is " very developed, there are traditional industries, the defense industry is very well represented."
"We need to diversify it. This is one of the tasks that we and you also face as the head of the region," Putin added.
