White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said that the United States is still ready to conduct a dialogue with the DPRK. This implies the possibility of holding negotiations at any time and without prior agreements, RIA Novosti reports.
The White House commented on the test of a new cruise missile in the DPRK, stressing that Washington retains the mood for direct diplomatic interaction with representatives of Pyongyang. Dialogue in this manner implies communication "at any time, anywhere and without preconditions."
"As for North Korea, our position has not changed. We remain ready for dialogue with the DPRK in order to achieve the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. In this sense, nothing has changed, " Jean-Pierre stressed during the briefing.
Earlier it became known that North Korea [...] successfully tested a new long-range cruise missile on September 11 and 12. Various engine parts, control and guidance systems, as well as warheads and others were tested. The launched missiles hit targets at a distance of 1,500 kilometers.
