The sports parachute system Magic of the Technodinamika holding of the Rostec State Corporation has passed state tests of the Ministry of Defense.
This examination is a prerequisite for the product to be used by sports teams of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The production of sports parachute equipment is one of the competencies of the parachute division of Technodinamiki. Today, the sports line includes parachutes for both classical disciplines, competitions for landing accuracy, and systems for group acrobatics.
Magic is a nine-section transition parachute of the "wing" type, which is designed for sports jumps. It can be used by both beginners and professionals.
The parachute system opens gently, is easy and safe to operate and is stable in a turbulent atmosphere.
The parachute dome is made of zero breathability (ZP) fabric – it improves the flight characteristics of the product. The slings made of vectran, liquid crystal polyester fiber, which are used in the system, do not deform during operation and reduce drag during flight. The parachute can withstand temperatures from -40 to + 40 C°. In addition, Magic is equipped with an Irbis sports parachute backpack. It was designed specifically for classical parachuting and is comparable to the best world models in terms of its functionality, ergonomics and design.
"When creating the Magic dome, we took into account the wishes of the representatives of the Russian national parachuting team. All modifications of the design were carried out taking into account the accumulated comments during operation. The fact that the parachute system has passed the state tests of the Ministry of Defense further confirms that our specialists coped with the task perfectly," said Igor Nasenkov, General Director of Technodinamika Holding.
Before that, only one domestic system - "Malva-24" - passed state tests. "Malva-24" is a seven-section precision parachute designed for performing all types of jumps by individual athletes and groups of parachutists from airplanes and helicopters. The material of the dome is a fabric with partial breathability of class F-111. A parachute with a dome area of 24.2 sq. m. m allows people weighing up to 100 kg to make a jump, Rostec reports.
The Magic and Malva-24 sports parachute systems were developed by the Polet Ivanovo plant.
