The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published footage of the use of the latest vehicles by Ulyanovsk paratroopers - light buggies "Sarmat-2", recently adopted by the Airborne Forces. The light high-speed all-terrain vehicle is designed to transport three fighters, equipped with a 12.7-mm Kord machine gun and an automatic Flame grenade launcher.
"Sarmat-2" can be used in the mountains at an altitude of up to 3,100 meters, overcome passes up to 4.5 km high, transport cargo up to 600 kg and be transported by air on the external suspension of helicopters, the military department said.
Buggies were used at the Nizhny Novgorod training ground Mulino during one of the episodes of the strategic exercises "West-2021".
