The V. Malyshev Kharkiv Plant has recently been able to produce two BM Oplot tanks. Moreover, one of them will be used as an exhibition, and the other, apparently, will go to the United States under a long-concluded contract.
This is not the first transaction of this kind. At the beginning of the noughties, four T-84s turned out to be overseas, two of them were equipped with active protection complexes (KAZ) "Drozd".
It is known that after the collapse of the USSR, a large number of T-55ADS with such KAZ turned out to be on the territory of Ukraine. These tanks were written off and disposed of, and some of the "Thrushes" were preserved, and then installed on the exported "eighty-fourth".
By the way, one of the T-55ADS also ended up in the United States, it exploded during a test , as a result of which two tankers were killed.
The fate of the T-84 was unenviable, according to some reports, three of them were also destroyed at landfills. Currently, only one has survived.
The newly manufactured BM "Oplot" will also undergo a very strict inspection, which, in the end, will end with the shooting of various types of weapons, including shells fired from 120-mm guns of Abrams tanks.
