ROSTOV-ON-DON, September 13./TASS/. The bilateral exercises will be held over the next week at several training grounds of the Southern Military District, the press service of the Southern Military District reported. More than 6 thousand military personnel will take part in the exercises.
"Eight battalion tactical groups from the combined-arms associations of the Southern Military District will work out the so-called innovations in the combat use of troops at the combined - arms training grounds of the Volgograd Region, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Chechen Republic and at a military base in the Republic of South Ossetia," the message says.
During the exercises, the district units will work out new tactical actions for the first time, as well as work out interaction with military aviation. "Within the framework of the exercises, the units will for the first time work out new methods of tactical actions as part of various types of reconnaissance, fire and strike complexes, including counter-battery, aviation and sniper. In the interests of the commanders of the battalion tactical groups, mobile tactical groups designed to combat unmanned aerial vehicles will operate," the Southern Military District reported.
