MOSCOW, September 12/ Sputnik Radio. Su-35S fighters destroyed the planes of the imaginary enemy from a distance of more than a hundred kilometers, the Zvezda TV channel reported, citing the press service of the Western Military District (ZVO).
The maneuvers were carried out during the exercises of the armed forces of Russia and Belarus "West-2021".
Calculations of the radio engineering troops of the ZVO timely detected each of the air targets, the role of which was performed by Su-30SM fighters.
"Each of the targets was intercepted before entering the area of responsibility of the air defense units of the Western Military District," the report says.
The Zapad-2021 exercises will be held until September 16 at nine training grounds in Russia, in the Baltic Sea, as well as at five Belarusian training grounds.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that a mass night landing took place at the Zapad-2021 exercises.
