Moscow. September 10. INTERFAX-By an order of the Russian government, part of the water area of the Sevastopol Bay of the Black Sea in the south-west of Crimea has been transferred to the use of the Russian Defense Ministry for a period of 20 years.
The corresponding document signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin was published on Friday on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"To provide the Russian Defense Ministry with a part of the water area of the Sevastopol Bay of the Black Sea for 20 years for separate water use to ensure the country's defense and state security," the government's order says.
It notes that the area of the transferred territory is 0.5739 square kilometers.
According to the order, when using these waters, the military department is prohibited from polluting and clogging the water area of the water body. Also, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is obliged to prevent actions that lead to harm to the environment.
