The crews of a detachment of ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet in the Barents Sea took part in an exercise to ensure the safety of objects of economic activity of the Russian Federation and to resolve crisis situations in case of their occurrence. The combat training event was held in the area of the frost-resistant ice stationary platform "Prirazlomnaya" in the Barents Sea.
According to the plan of the exercise, the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk, leading the detachment, received information from the operational service of the Northern Fleet about the actions of an unknown intruder vessel performing dangerous maneuvers near a sea ice stationary platform.
Since the violation of the platform's safety zone by the violator, the crew of the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk, having demonstrated the ship's artillery armament, forced it to stop and drift. The rescue-towing vessel "Pamir"acted as the intruder's vessel.
Some of the conditional terrorists were able to enter the sea ice stationary platform "Prirazlomnaya" and captured it.
A Ka-27 helicopter with an anti-terror group from a separate brigade of the Northern Fleet Marines was lifted from the board of the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk. Having landed on the platform, the marines eliminated the violators, some of whom were detained. The personnel of the Northern Fleet Marine Corps got acquainted with the device of the platform and gained experience of operating on the platform itself, having completed all the tasks assigned.
The uniqueness of this exercise took place in the fact that the forces and troops of the Arctic group of the Northern Fleet operated for the first time on the most frost-resistant ice stationary platform "Prirazlomnaya", previously this exercise was conducted only in its area.
