MOSCOW, 6 Sep-RIA Novosti. Units manned by reservists have been transferred to the Kaliningrad Region, where the Zapad-2021 exercises will soon take place, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
It is noted that reservists perform combat training tasks in the Kaliningrad region, improving their military knowledge, skills and skills in the use of weapons and military equipment.
The practical actions of the troops during the joint strategic exercises "West-2021" will be held from September 10 to 16 at nine training grounds in Russia and at five training grounds in Belarus. About 200 thousand people, more than 80 planes and helicopters, up to 760 units of military equipment - more than 290 tanks, more than 240 guns, multiple rocket launchers and mortars, as well as up to 15 ships will take part in them.
The mobilization human reserve is the citizens of Russia who are part of the Armed Forces and are in the most mobilizationally ready state. For the first time, reservists have been involved in training events of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation since 2016.
