The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, criticized the US sanctions and said that they undermine the market for free space launches. He said this on the air of the YouTube channel "Solovyov Live".
The CEO of the state corporation stressed that Russia is losing a significant number of orders due to American restrictions. "In the space sector, the launch services market, just like the word "market", no longer exists, " he stressed.
Rogozin added that the United States plans to legally fix the rule on the ban on the launch of spacecraft with components from the United States by Russian rockets from January 1, 2023, and de facto this already exists in practice.
Nevertheless, there are countries that are not only ready, but also consider it necessary to cooperate with Roscosmos, the head of the corporation concluded.
Earlier in June, Rogozin said that he would ask the head of NASA, Bill Nelson, to convince US President Joe Biden of the need to" calm down " supporters of sanctions against Russian enterprises. The head of Roscosmos expressed hope that he would be able to explain the lack of logic in the restrictions against Russian enterprises.
