Russia is ready to supply Su-35 combat aircraft to China. Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), told reporters about this on September 4 during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"To date, there have been no new applications from China for the purchase of additional batches of Su-35 multi-purpose fighters. At the same time, Russia is ready for further cooperation with the Chinese side on this topic when receiving appropriate appeals," Shugaev said.
As the head of the FSVTS noted, the Su-35 fighter is one of the most popular Russian military products.
"For the Su-35 fighter, the FSMTC of Russia regularly receives applications from foreign partners. This includes applications for the supply of aircraft, for demonstration flights, as well as for visiting the manufacturer," the head of the Federal Customs Service concluded.
Before that, on August 8, American journalists in an article indicated that the Russian Su-35S fighter is superior to the fifth-generation F-22 Raptor in a number of parameters.
The publication draws attention to the fact that the Russian fighter has a built-in 30-millimeter aircraft gun GSH-30-1. Thanks to the six short-range R — 74 air-to-air missiles, it is possible to effectively conduct a battle at a short distance, and the R-77 aviation missiles make it possible to hit targets beyond the line of sight.
Earlier, on July 20, Shugaev said that Russia had received a number of applications from foreign customers for the supply of Su-35 multi-purpose fighters. He noted that modern Russian-made aviation equipment, including the Su-35, has successfully proven itself during the operation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria.
The Su-35 belongs to the "4++"generation aircraft. This super-maneuverable fighter is designed to gain air superiority, as well as air support for troops and strike land and sea targets. The Russian Armed Forces receive a modification of the Su-35S aircraft.
