VLADIVOSTOK, September 4. /TASS/. Russia intends to sign an agreement with India for the licensed production of 7.62-millimeter AK-203 submachine guns in this country in the near future. This was announced to journalists during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2021) by the press secretary of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) Valeria Reshetnikova.
"We expect to reach all agreements and sign a contract in the near future," Reshetnikova informed.
According to her, the issue concerning the payment of royalties by India is still being resolved. "Currently, negotiations with Indian partners on the organization of production of AK-203 submachine guns at a joint venture in the city of Korva are continuing. We are looking for solutions that satisfy both sides, in particular on the issue of payment of royalties by India, " Reshetnikova said.
