The manufacturer of the new Russian AK-12 assault rifle, which is supplied to the military, has revealed the features of the AK-12. The ergonomic automatic can be adapted to the anthropometric parameters of each serviceman. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies (GC).
"The AK-12 assault rifle can be adapted to the equipment and anthropometric parameters of each serviceman," the press service said. In other words, the weapon can be adjusted to the height of the fighter and the length of his shoulders and forearms.
The press service of the Kalashnikov Group stressed that the AK-12 can be equipped with accessories without additional adapters. "As part of the development work of Ratnik, collimator and thermal imaging sights, front handles, and laser designators were created in Russia," the press service added.
The AK-12 assault rifle received a polymer pistol grip, a telescopic butt with improved ergonomics. The machine is also equipped with transparent magazines that allow you to control ammunition, and a convenient translator of fire modes. This distinguishes the AK-12 from the previous models — AK-74 and AK-74M.
The AK-12 is being developed as a new standard weapon for a fighter of the Russian armed forces. The Kalashnikov Group noted that the customer reviews about the product are positive.
In August, it became known about the strengthening of the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan. In connection with the situation in Afghanistan, new weapons, including AK-12, were handed over to the military.
