The ergonomics of the previously developed Kalashnikov assault rifles, in particular the 5.45-millimeter AK-74 and AK-74M, did not allow the machine to be fully configured for convenient and effective use by each fighter.
According to the press service, the AK-12 can be equipped with a wide range of sighting devices without installing any additional adapters. "Collimator / optical sights and other equipment for the AK-12 can be installed on the machine without additional adapters or other devices. As part of the development work of "Ratnik", various night, thermal and collimator sights, laser designators, front handles, flashlights were created by the enterprises of the optical industry at the request of the Ministry of Defense," Kalashnikov added.
