China is working on a helicopter similar to the American Ingenuity. It may become part of one of the Chinese missions to explore the Red Planet.
Beijing is looking for ways to expand its capabilities to study Mars, including using a device that looks like a NASA Ingenuity helicopter. A prototype has already been created .
The helicopter was one of three projects in the technology development program promoted by the National Space Science Center at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The device is being created under the leadership of Bian Chongjian. As far as we can judge, we have not yet decided on a mission during which a promising development can be used.
It is worth saying that China already has achievements in the exploration of Mars. On the twenty-third of July, 2020, the Tianwen-1 mission was launched: it includes an orbiter and a descent module, the payload of which was the six-wheeled Zhuzhong rover. On the fourteenth of May, the lander made a soft landing on the Utopia Plain.
