Kiev. September 1. INTERFAX-UKRAINE-President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky thanked the NATO bloc for its support and presence in the Black Sea region, but believes that this is not enough in the current conditions.
According to the TV channel "Ukraine 24", the corresponding statement was made by the head of state during his visit to the United States.
"People in Ukraine see this support. This is important because they feel that they are not alone and that if there is a continuation of escalation on the part of the Russian Federation, our partners will be with us," the president said.
At the same time, he stressed that at the moment NATO is only talking about the "presence" of the alliance's forces in the region.
